Why Chiang Mai?

Temples Everywhere

With over 300 Buddhist temples, Chiang Mai is a spiritual haven. The old city alone has dozens of beautiful wats (temples) within its ancient walls.

Incredible Value

Even cheaper than Bangkok:

  • Delicious local meals: $1-2
  • Comfortable rooms: $10-20/night
  • Thai massage: $5-7
  • Cooking classes: $25-35

Perfect Climate

At 300 meters elevation, Chiang Mai is cooler than the rest of Thailand. The cool season (Nov-Feb) is absolutely perfect.
